Buy A Bed For A Dog!
We have chosen Kuranda dog beds for our boarding facilities because they are so good for our dogs. We still don't have enough for all of our kennels. Currently, we have only 5 beds! Why not help a homeless dog and give him/her a comfortable place to sleep - we still need 56 beds for our facility. Recycle! Ink Cartridges & Old Cell Phones
The Humane Society of Central Washington is currently participating in a fund raising program. This program pays our group up to $4.00 for empty Ink Jet cartridges, up to $15.00 for Laser printer cartridges and up to $5.00 for digital cell phones (depending on styles). Not only will this help us raise funds, it is also great for the environment.
We are asking for your help. All it requires is for you to save some trash, which we can turn into cash. If you will save your empty ink jet cartridges, laser cartridges and cell phones for us, we will send them in for cash. Just drop them by the shelter - try a zip-loc bag for less mess.
The money we raise through this program will help provide funds for the animals at our shelter.
Today there are more than 250 different ink jet cartridges on the market. We can turn most of them in for cash. However, we are unable to accept any Epson cartridges.
Any help you can give us would be greatly appreciated. If you have any questions please call 509-457-6854 or e-mail us and someone will be happy to assist you. Don't forget to tell your friends, family, and coworkers about this great way to help the animals and the environment at the same time.
Recycle! Aluminum Cans, Newspaper, Plastic, etc....
Recycling is great for the environment! More and more people are catching on to the trend. Why not you? Recycling helps preserve our beautiful planet and all creatures on it.. Now you can Recycle and earn money for the animals. All you need to do; save all recyclable material and then deliver it straight to the recycling center. Easy enough, right?! To help the animals in our facility just deliver your recycling materials to Michelsen Packaging Company and request that the proceeds go to the Humane Society of Central Washington.

Sponsor a Pet in the Yakima Herald! "Best Friends Pet Ad"
Just a reminder, our"Best Friends" ad is published the last Monday of each month and it features many of the awesome pets we have available for adoption at the shelter. If you're interested in helping more animals find homes, here's how you can do just that.
