Spay Neuter Yakima Project

We have partnered with the Feral Cat Spay Neuter Project (FCSNP) to provide high-volume, high-quality spay/neuter to the felines of Yakima County. PetSmart Charities has recognized FCSNP as a National Mentoring Organization and we are deeply grateful to the Feral Cat Spay Neuter Project for mentoring our organization in high-volume, high-quality spay/neuter so we can provide this life-saving surgery in the most effecient way possible.

How to Use Our Clinics

Accessing our clinics is easy, but we ask that you educate yourself before you contact us with questions. Whether you have tame cats ready or you want to trap free-roaming cats to bring in, please read this section thoroughly and carefully prior to making any reservations. Our documents guide you through trap preparation, trapping, housing the cats and preparing for the clinic.

Begin by reading the "Clinic Policies for Free Surgical Services". If you are unfamiliar with trapping, please read "How to Trap" - do not begin trapping until you have reservations. To become familiar with your responsibilities once you trap cats, read through "Before you Arrive at the Clinic" and "The Day of the Clinic". Once you understand what is expected, you are ready to make reservations.

If you have read, understand and you have questions, please email us at spay@yakimahumane.org or call 509-731-8998. If you do not have questions and you're in agreement with the terms and conditions of the clinics, you are ready make reservations.

Clinic Dates & Location
All cats are checked in between 7am and 8am. If your cat is not brought to us during check-in it will not make it in for surgery even if you've made a reservation. It's very common for people to bring cats "on-standby" which means they are there to see if there are any "no-shows". If you are late for check-in, we will assume you are a "no-show" and we'll give your spot to a cat that is present.

We will post the clinic dates as soon as we schedule them.
