Calendar of Events
Every year the Humane Society continues to expand our education and outreach in the community. Our Board members, staff, and volunteers to go the extra mile for the animals. With several successful fundraisers already completed we look forward to future events.
We strive to raise awareness about pet overpopulation, educate the public about responsible pet ownership, be a resource for the public, and—of course–find loving forever homes for the animals in our care. The shelter is doing this by participating in adopt-a-thons, visiting local schools, conducting interviews on both radio and television, and inviting groups to the shelter for educational sessions and tours.
January 2008
- January 1st - Shelter Closed - in honor of New Years Day.
February 2008
- February 26th - Dining Out for Paws & Claws - fundraising event to benefit the SNAP program.
March 2008
- March 7th - Wine and Art - annual Humane Society fundraising event.
- March 16th - St. Pooches Day - adoption event in Issaquah - sponsored by Pawsitive Alliance.
- March 30th - Friends & Family Night - hosted by Sears, a fun-filled night with an educational twist.
April 2008
- April 11th - Ameri-corp Kids are Honored - Humane Society honors students for hand-made dog houses & cat trees.
- April 26th - See Spot Ride - Poker Run fundraising event to help expand our capacity to house dogs.
- April 27th - See Spot Run - 6th annual Humane Society fundraising event.
May 2008
- May 2nd, 3rd, and 4th - Petsmart Adoption Event - adoption event hosted by PetSmart.
- May 26th - Shelter Closed - in honor of Memorial Day.
June 2008
- June 6th, 7th and 8th - Hertz Autos for Animals - adoption event hosted by Hertz Auto Sales - $100 donated to the shelter for every car sold this weekend.
- June 11th - Chamber of Commerce info booth - educational event held at the local Chamber of Commerce.
- June 21st - Adopt-a-thon - adoption event held in conjunction with local rescues at the Humane Society.
July 2008
- July 4th - Shelter Closed - in honor of Independence Day.
September 2008
- September 1st - Shelter Closed - in honor of Labor Day.
- September 7th - Adopt-a-thon - adoption event in Bothell - sponsored by Pawsitive Alliance.
October 2008
- October 19th - Adopt-a-thon - adoption event in Bothell - sponsored by Pawsitive Alliance.
- October 25th - See Spot Party - annual Humane Society fundraising event.
November 2008
- November 27th - Shelter Closed - in honor of Thanksgiving Day.
December 2008
- December 25th - Shelter Closed - in honor of Christmas Day.
