Meet She-Hulk, a 4-year-old female Pit Bull Terrier.
She-Hulk was surrendered to the adoption center by the property owner after the legal owner did not return for her. She has lived with a large male dog and did fine meeting a small male dog at shelter but a meet and greet with other dogs in the home is always best prior to adoption. She-Hulk can not live in a home with cats. She is friendly with people and is treat motivated. She does okay on her leash but needs some more training.
If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been received.
A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don't Shop.
NOTE: All pre-adoption questionnaires are subject to approval. Adopters must be 18 years of age. Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 24-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit. All dogs must leave with a collar and leash. All cats must leave in a pet carrier for their safety. Renters are required to have proof of landlord approval.
