Meet Russ, a 2-year-old male Husky/Shepherd mix.
Russ is an active young dog that thinks he is still a puppy. At 72 pounds he is a large dog but he would like to be your lap buddy. Russ is very social and fun to be around. With his happy personality he comes across as a bit of a goober, but who doesn't need a little joy in their lives right now. When Russ was picked up by animal control it was reported that he slobbered all over a cat, he didn't seem to harm it but the cat was not happy about it. With his higher energy level he might just need to be kept away from felines. This pet is available for adoption on 12/10/22. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been received. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. NOTE: All pre-adoption questionnaires are subject to approval. Adopters must be 18 years of age. Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 24-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit. All dogs must leave with a collar and leash. All cats must leave in a pet carrier for their safety. Renters are required to have proof of landlord approval.
