Meet Hopper, a 4-year-old male Akita/Shepherd mix.
Hopper has a very solid and confident build but his personality doesn't currently match. He can lake confidence with new people but is quick to find himself and become outgoing and bonded once in a home. Hopper might look like a muscle man but he was easy to handle and one of the adoption centers favorites. Hopper has done well with other dogs at the shelter but a meet and greet with any other K9's in the home is required prior to adoption. He may not go to any home where he will be around cats. If your home is feline free and you have room in your heart for this loving boy please come meet him today. This pet is available for adoption on 2/11/23 and is located at the Yakima Humane Society. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854. If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been received. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. NOTE: All pre-adoption questionnaires are subject to approval. Adopters must be 18 years of age. Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 24-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit. All dogs must leave with a collar and leash. All cats must leave in a pet carrier for their safety. Renters are required to have proof of landlord approval.
