Meet Jack Frost, a 2-year-old male Husky mix.
Jack Frost is a very sweet boy. He has been through a lot but doesn't let it stop him from being a good dog. Jack Frost can be hesitant about new people and things but in the best possible way. He goes slow but really does enjoy attention. Jack Frost came to the adoption center after being brought in by animal control. Jack had barbed wire wrapped around his body and face when he was found. Lucky he was not majorly injured. He past treatment by humans may explain why he is a little shy at first. Jack Frost did well on his leash during his photo shoot and seemed to enjoy the time with the handler and photographer. This pet is available for adoption on 5/13/23 and is located at the Yakima Humane Society. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been received. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. NOTE: All pre-adoption questionnaires are subject to approval. Adopters must be 18 years of age. Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 24-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit. All dogs must leave with a collar and leash. All cats must leave in a pet carrier for their safety. Renters are required to have proof of landlord approval.
