Find The Love Of Your Life At The Yakima Humane Society

Every day, our team of staff and volunteers are responsible for feeding, cleaning, walking, and socializing over 150 dogs and cats who reside in YHS’ Adoption Center. The Adoption Center is a massive operation that remains open every single day of the year and continuously sees more animals flood our doors. Many times, we simply do not have the space for these new intakes.

The adoption fees help offset the cost of evaluation, housing, feeding and medical care for the thousands of animals that need our help. We do our best to keep adoption prices reasonable while generating income to support our goal of caring for animals available for adoption until we can place them in a loving home.

Our adopters tell us that our professional staff are warm, friendly, informative and patient as they assist adopters in finding a love match. Our mission is to help you find a pet that meets your expectations and lifestyle.

Our staff is helpful and courteous throughout the process. You’re invited to visit with a prospective pet in one of our "Meet N' Greet" rooms. We also offer "Meet N' Greets" for adopters wishing to introduce a current dog to a potential new playmate.

For more information regarding our adoption procedure, please contact us at [email protected].
