Meet Slash, a 1-year-old male Domestic Shorthair. Slash came into the shelter with a few wounds on his head- he has been all cleaned up and is ready to find his new home! Slash is a friendly cat who has the most beautiful coat! We believe he may be cat and dog friendly as he has been very relaxed being around the other animals at the shelter. Slash is a very friendly, outgoing cat who comes right up to the kennel, meows and purrs for attention. Come meet Slash today!
Slash is currently located at the Ellensburg Animal Shelter and is available for adoption! If you are interested in adopting this pet, please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been received. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is lifesaving. Adopt Don't Shop.

NOTE: All pre-adoption questionnaires are subject to approval. Adopters must be 18 years of age. Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 24-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit. All dogs must leave with a collar and leash. All cats must leave in a pet carrier for their safety. Renters are required to have proof of landlord approval.
