Meet Casper, a 4-month-old male Domestic Medium Hair.
Casper and his sister arrived at the adoption center under-socialized. They have been in a foster home that understands their need for personal space and that has started socialization gradually. The foster has let Adoption Center staff know that Casper is in love with their cat and they think that Casper would like a feline companion. In the time that he has been at the foster's house he has started to come out of his shell, but still does not like to be held or have attention thrown at him. If you want a companion that wont be under you feet Casper is the one. Please remember that Casper is a kitten and kitten behavior comes with the package. They need lots of toys and places to scratch to learn good scratching habits. They also need patience as they finesse their litter box skills in a new home they are unfamiliar with. This pet is available for adoption at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854. If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been received. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don't Shop. |
