Quiet, shy, and full of untapped love - Licorice is a special little soul looking for someone with patience and a kind heart. He came to us as a stray, and the world still feels a bit big and scary to him. But with a calm space, gentle words, and some time, Licorice has the potential to become a truly devoted companion.

To help him feel safe, Licorice should start out in a small, quiet room like a bathroom or cozy bedroom - somewhere he can get used to your presence at his own pace. He's not aggressive or difficult - just timid, and in need of a little extra TLC to build his confidence.

With love, routine, and a safe environment, Licorice will slowly come out of his shell - and when he does, the reward will be worth every ounce of patience. If you're the kind of person who believes the quietest cats often have the loudest love once they're ready, Licorice is waiting for you. Please remember that Licorice is a kitten and kitten behavior comes with the package. They need lots of toys and places to scratch to learn good scratching habits. They also need patience as they finesse their litter box skills in a new home they are unfamiliar with.

NOTE: All pre-adoption questionnaires are subject to approval. Adopters must be 18 years of age. Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 48-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit. All dogs must leave with a collar and leash. All cats must leave in a pet carrier for their safety. Renters are required to have proof of landlord approval.
