Meet Oak, a two month old male kitten.

Oak is a fluffy little kitten who is still learning that people can be pretty great. Right now, he can be shy and a little hissy when faced with new situations, but don't let that fool you-this youngster is all bark and no bite. He's easy to handle and young enough that with a little time and socialization, he should gain confidence quickly.

Oak will do best in a home that understands shy kittens and is willing to help him come out of his shell. Starting him off in a small room, such as a bathroom or bedroom, will help him feel secure while he adjusts to his new surroundings. Plenty of gentle handling, affection, and positive interactions will go a long way in helping him learn to trust.

With patience, consistency, and a little "forced love" in the form of cuddles and attention, we think Oak will grow into a wonderful companion. Underneath that cautious exterior is a fluffy kitten just waiting to discover how good the indoor life can be.

Ready to adopt? Great news-our spayed/neutered pets are available to go home the same day! You can visit us in person, give us a call, or apply online-whatever works best for you. Your adoption fee includes: A lovable new companion, spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations + deworming, flea/tick treatment, rabies vaccine (for pets 3-4 months and older), and microchip with nationwide registration.

Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 48-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit. All dogs must leave with a collar and leash. All cats must leave in a pet carrier for their safety. Renters may be required to have proof of landlord approval.
