Meet Princess, a 2.5-year-old female Border Collie/Shepherd mix.
Princess has been at the adoption center a couple of times. Sadly her owner has a living situation that makes owning a dog difficult. This girl is a little confused by how her life has changed but she loves getting out in the park for walks and is fun to be around. Not only is Princess's personality cool but she is also cool looking, she has this great white coat with little spots. Princess has a very sweet personality. She does great on her leash and could use a little more exercise. Princess is missing her old owner and tends to look a little sad. She leans against you for suppot and needs an adopter that can really give her so cuddle time. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been received. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don't Shop.

NOTE: All pre-adoption questionnaires are subject to approval. Adopters must be 18 years of age. Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 24-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit. All dogs must leave with a collar and leash. All cats must leave in a pet carrier for their safety. Renters are required to have proof of landlord approval.
