Meet Ruger, an 3 year old male Doberman Pinscher.
Ruger arrived at the YHS clinic after being found with a major injury to his front leg. Unfortunately the leg could not be saved but thankfully Ruger could. While it is a big change for him, Ruger is adapting well to his three legged life. He has met several other dogs in his foster home and does well. He prefers the older dogs that are less active. It doesn't seem like he has lived in a home before, but is learning. He does want to counter surf but corrects well. Ruger is a little shy with new people but had a friendly personality. He will need a home that can continue to help him adjust to his new life. Particularly living in a home as outdoor living is not best for him. Ruger also has a hard time with this cold weather, walking on ice is particularly difficult for him. He will need a patient and loving adopter that has the time to give him plenty of TLC. |
