Meet Odin, a 6-year-old male German Shepherd mix.
Odin has been such a sweet boy at the adoption center. When he arrived he was so scared and just crawled on his belly into the building. He did very well for his weight in and vaccinations. Patiently waiting his turn and watching everyone around him. The kennel is less comfortable for him due to size but he is generally found quietly laying in the back. Odin is okay on his leash but needs tends to be submissive. He keeps his tail tucked and still tends to crawl into new rooms. he was adopted in early December of 2022 and his adopted family do not think he is living his best life with their lifestyle. They live on a farm with horses as well as cows, and he seems to be terrified of larger animals, even though he is a big boy himself. He's absolutely wonderful with kids, other dogs, meeting new people, and going places. He likes car rides, cuddles, and chilling at home when his adopter is at work. Odin would benefit from a loving home that can help him build is confidence and in a home with no cats. . This pet is available for adoption on 12/19/22. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854. If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been received. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don't Shop. |
