Meet Xavier, a 3-year-old male Pit Bull/Mastiff mix.
Xavier is an amazing boy. He was picked up by animal control after being reported as abandoned in a field. While we do not know Xavier's history, we do know that he arrived with a large abscess in his neck and that he has multiple scratches and scares on his face. This sweet boy could not be more mellow at the adoption center. He is so well behaved that he even let the staff outfit him in a little bit of valentines day finery. Xavier is currently under weight, at only 65 pounds he will need an adopter that can provide him with consistent and high quality diet. When Xavier was originally found it was reported that he was not great around the finders cat when it came to food. It is not advised that dogs and cats be fed together. His behavior was likely due how thin he is but it is advised when feeding he not be placed in another animals space. Xavier has been great about taken treats at the shelter, he is very gentle and will even sit for them. If you have room in your heart and home for a large love bug, come meet Xavier today! This pet is available for adoption on 1/27/23 and is located at the Yakima Humane Society. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854. If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been received. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don't Shop. |
