Tim has been in a foster home for the past week and is doing great. His foster family sent in some memos to help him get adopted.
"Tim absolutely loves the female dogs, and has a lot of fun playing with the medium/ small male dogs. He's a bit standoffish to the larger male dogs and would prefer that they stay out of his face. He doesn't really have any interest in cats besides smelling them and then ignoring them. He has greeted all strangers with a wagging tail. He is housetrained and uses the doggie door to go out. He does not mark in the house. He spends his time inside and out and is kept in a fenced yard. He is mostly leash trained, he gets really excited and pulls at first, and then settles down and walks nicely . Whoever owned him before has trained him not to jump on people or to jump on furniture. His recall is great, I can trust him off leash and he comes right to me when called. You can touch him anywhere, brush his hair and trim his nails. He does not have any bad habits or anxiety issues. Tim is a very well behaved dog who just wants to love on his people. He will snuggle his head against you for a hug, and will always greet you with a smile and a wagging tail." Meet Tim, a 10-year old male Golden Retriever mix. Tim is a 76 pounds independent gentleman that likes to get out side and explore the world. That might be how he ended up at the adoption center, a little too much exploration. Tim has a thick coat and a solid build. He would love to find a home where he can retire but don't expect him to slow down, he is still up for some action. This pet is available for adoption. If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been received. If you already have an approved application or would like to check in on your application status, email adoption@yakimahumane.org. |
