Meet Oso, a 2-year-old male Shepherd mix.
Oso is so handsome he looks similar to a Bohemian Shepherd or a fuzzy bear with his very floofy coat. Oso was picked up as a stray in the city of Wapato. He is already a large dog at 66 pounds but is likely to get a big larger. Oso is listed at to but seems to be a bit of a puppy. He isn't too comfortable in new environments and likes to stay close to a person. Oso is working on his leash training and does best when you are patient and calm with him. Oso has a very sweet personality and loved by the YHS staff. This pet is available for adoption on 5/16/23 and is located at the Yakima Humane Society. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been received. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. NOTE: All pre-adoption questionnaires are subject to approval. Adopters must be 18 years of age. Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 24-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit. All dogs must leave with a collar and leash. All cats must leave in a pet carrier for their safety. Renters are required to have proof of landlord approval.
