Meet Bearr, a 1-year-old female Siberian Husky/Pit Bull mix.
Oh my gosh, we cannot say enough good things about Bearr. Since coming into our shelter in June she has just been the happiest, most outgoing girl on the block. She was originally picked up by animal control and sadly her owners chose to surrender her instead of getting her back... We don't think they know what a gem they let go of. Bearr has a social personality and loves to do zoomies while playing with people or other dogs. She would do great in a home with other dogs that want to play but would also do perfectly fine by herself. She does good on her leash and is blast to be around. When our volunteer was laying on the ground to get some new pictures Bearr was down to get some snuggles, she belly crawled up and was so happy just to lay with our volunteer. When the volunteer got up Bearr was ready to go on her next adventure! This happy, playful, genuinely sweet girl knows "Sit" and is truly a diamond in the rough. She is at the perfect place in her training and her life to join a family and make them the happiest people around. If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been received. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don't Shop. |
