Meet Cashew and Nitro!
Cashew is the smaller of the two, she is wearing a pink collar. Nitro is a male. Both have been altered, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed and are ready to find their forever homes! These two cuties arrived at our shelter after being seized along with their 5 other siblings. Cashew and Nitro do not need to be adopted together but they get along great if someone was looking to add two new members to their household. Cashew will need a patient adopter who can go slow to earn her trust as she is pretty shy. These two are both very sweet dogs who would make someone amazing pets! We always recommend testing all our dogs with any other potential family members prior to adoption to ensure the best outcome for all! A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. NOTE: All pre-adoption questionnaires are subject to approval. Adopters must be 18 years of age. Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 24-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit. All dogs must leave with a collar and leash. All cats must leave in a pet carrier for their safety. Renters are required to have proof of landlord approval.
