Meet Molly, an approximately 6-year-old female Labrador Retriever.
Molly arrived at our shelter as a stray and is now ready to find her forever home. Molly is a typical Lab; she is social, sweet and doesn't know what a stranger is. Molly needs a home that can love and take care of her as she deserves, as you can see, she needs some TLC. Molly has been recently diagnosed with having a Thyroid problem so she will need to be on medication for the foreseeable future, however the medication is very affordable, and her condition is manageable with medication. Molly walks well on a leash and keeps her kennel sparkling clean, so we believe she is potty trained as well. Molly has been placed into a foster home where we learned she cannot be placed into a home with cats. We always recommend testing all our dogs with any other potential family members prior to adoption to ensure the best outcome for all! A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is lifesaving. Adopt Don't Shop.

NOTE: All pre-adoption questionnaires are subject to approval. Adopters must be 18 years of age. Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 24-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit. All dogs must leave with a collar and leash. All cats must leave in a pet carrier for their safety. Renters are required to have proof of landlord approval.
