Meet Levi, an approximately 2-year-old Border Collie Mix.
Levi is a handsome, silly guy who arrived at our shelter as a stray and is now available for adoption. Please do your breed research before applying for Levi as these dogs need a lot of activity and mental stimulation to keep them happy and healthy. Levi knows basic commands and is keeping a clean kennel, so we believe he is potty trained as well! We always recommend testing all our dogs with any other potential family members prior to adoption to ensure the best outcome for all! Come meet Levi today, he is currently located at the Ellensburg Animal Shelter. If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don't Shop.

NOTE: All pre-adoption questionnaires are subject to approval. Adopters must be 18 years of age. Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 24-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit. All dogs must leave with a collar and leash. All cats must leave in a pet carrier for their safety. Renters are required to have proof of landlord approval.
