Meet West, an adorable, dorky Retriever/Lab mix.
At around a year old and weighing in at 68 pounds West still has some growing to do. He has an adorable droopy face and ears that we can't get over and that we love to smoosh/kiss. He keeps a clean kennel and has clearly been well-cared for so we don't know how he ended up running around Walmart or why no one has come for him. We adore this sweet boy and think he has a great baseline to training, already walking well on his leash and learning to mind his puppy manners. West will sit for treats and we see him settling well into almost any home. Whomever adopts him is really going to get a stand-up dog. If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been received. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don't Shop. |
