Meet Boonie, a 5 year-old female Pointer/Heeler mix.
Boonie hasn't had it too easy lately. She was surrendered to Granger public works because apparently she was owned by a truck driver. When stopped at a gas station in Granger the owner decided he no longer wanted her. Boonie doesn't seem to have the ideal personality for a truck dog. While we are sure that she loves to go for rides, Boonie has an active personality and would do better in a home setting with a fenced in yard. Boonie can be vocal about her opinion and would benefit from some training. She does already know sit and may know more once she gets some energy walked off. Boonie looks a little funny at this time, it appears that her past owner shaved part of her coat. This pet is available for adoption at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don't Shop. |
