Meet Stewart, a three and a half year old American Bully Mix.
Stewart can to us very scared and is slowly coming out of his shell but it is clear the kennel environment is new and scary. We did a brief introduction to Stewart through a fence with another dog and he immediately untucked his tail and began to gently wags it, perking up. We think Stewart would do great in a home with another dog to show him the ropes although he could be an only dog. We know once Stewart bonds he will be 100% all about you and what you are doing. We can't wait to see this guy open up and flourish and don't mind giving him a little bit of time to do it.
If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Sunday, that's right we are open all days of the week!
A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don't Shop.
