Meet Auggy, a two year old Pointer/Doberman mix weighing around 68 pounds.
Auggy is a big boy with a lean boy-type. He is pretty excited in his kennel but once he is outside for a couple of minutes he calms down, this is quite common for dogs in shelter environments. This guy is a friendly dork who is happy to say hi to new people and wants nothing more than to make new friends. Auggy likes his treats and will sit for them but is still working on taking them "gentle" (aren't we all). Want a dog that wants to go on adventures? Look no further!
If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday.
A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don't Shop.
