Meet Dan, a four year old Malamute/Husky mix who weighs around 70 pounds.
Dan is a very friendly and surprisingly well-manner boy considering his breed mix is know to be slightly ornery. This friendly guy is happy to be included in any situation and walks incredibly well on leash. One might even describe Dan as mellow! We think Dan has the perfect amount on energy, enough that he is down to try anything you are doing but also quite happy just to hang around the house.
If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Sunday, that's right we are open all days of the week!
A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don't Shop.
