Meet Trucker, a one and a half year old Anatolian Shepherd mix weighing in around 90 pounds.
Trucker is a fun guy who walks surprisingly well on his leash despite his size. His owner says he was good with cats, dogs and kids but we always recommend doing supervised introductions and watching them at first. Trucker has met other dogs while with us and done very well, he really is a sweet boy. He is a good boy that goes in and out of his kennel with ease and loves his squeaky toys, when he gets really excited you get to see this big goof ball play.

A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Before you go searching for free puppies or puppies for sale, check your local Shelters for available dogs and puppies that have been vetted and are ready to go home. Adopt Don't Shop.
