Meet Sissy, an almost two month old Chihuahua mix who weighs a little over three pounds.

Sissy was brought in as a stray with her Momma (named Mommas) and two sibling Pudgy and Missy. They were too young to be adopted so the whole family has been in foster together. Their foster says they love to play with everyone and are happy puppies. This litter has been around kids and other dogs and do well with them. Please remember that Sissy is a puppy and puppy behavior comes with the package. They need basic training and potty training along with being provided chew toys to encourage proper chewing habits. All puppies require socializing from a young age to help them become the best, most well-rounded dog they can be.

Sissy is still in foster and not currently at our facility at this time. However, we are accepting applications and will be placing holds for her and her siblings so when they are ready to go they have homes lined up.

Our adoption fee includes a lovable companion, spay/neuter, vaccinations and intestinal worming, flea/tick treatment, rabies vaccine (for pets over 3-4 months of age) and a microchip with nationwide registration. Your adoption fee helps support YHS and our spay/neuter efforts in the community to end overpopulation of cats and dogs.

NOTE: All pre-adoption questionnaires are subject to approval. Adopters must be 18 years of age. Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 48-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit. All dogs must leave with a collar and leash. All cats must leave in a pet carrier for their safety. Renters are required to have proof of landlord approval.
