Meet Buddy, a three and a half year old Pit mix weighing around 60 pounds.

Buddy was surrendered to animal control along with Chewy after they were both found in a home that was not in fit condition to house them. Of the two Buddy is the laidback, mellow one. He walks well on his leash and has the cutest puppy dog eyes that stare into your soul. Buddy enjoys attention and some good scratched behind his ears. He came in with some scratches and scars on his nose and a decent sized lump on his shoulder. We removed the lump and he is now a new dog, ready to go home! Buddy may not have lived in the most ideal conditions but he has a heart of gold and is ready to find his forever home with you.

Our adoption fee includes a lovable companion, spay/neuter, vaccinations and intestinal worming, flea/tick treatment, rabies vaccine (for pets over 3-4 months of age) and a microchip with nationwide registration. Your adoption fee helps support YHS and our spay/neuter efforts in the community to end overpopulation of cats and dogs.

NOTE: All pre-adoption questionnaires are subject to approval. Adopters must be 18 years of age. Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 48-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit. All dogs must leave with a collar and leash. All cats must leave in a pet carrier for their safety. Renters are required to have proof of landlord approval.
