Cheese is a lovable Boxer mix with a huge heart and an even bigger capacity for loyalty. He already knows his basic commands and truly wants to connect with his people. When he bonds with someone, he bonds deeply, he's the kind of dog who wants to be by your side, share your routines, and be your most devoted companion.
Due to his high drive breed, and time spent in the shelter Cheese does struggle with severe separation anxiety. He thrives best in a home where he can be the main focus and where his person is excited to invest time, patience, and positive training resources to help him feel safe and confident. With consistency, support, and plenty of exercise Cheese has so much potential to grow into the balanced, secure dog he wants to be.
This sweet boy is not defined by his challenges, he's defined by his loyalty, his desire to please, and his deep emotional connection to his humans. Cheese is looking for someone who sees him, believes in him, and is ready to walk alongside him as he continues learning how to be the best version of himself.

Our adoption fee includes a lovable companion, spay/neuter, vaccinations and intestinal worming, flea/tick treatment, rabies vaccine (for pets over 3-4 months of age) and a microchip with nationwide registration. Your adoption fee helps support YHS and our spay/neuter efforts in the community to end overpopulation of cats and dogs.
