Meet Maja, a three year old Pit/Shepherd mix weighing around 50 pounds.

Maja was owner surrendered to us due to issues with their landlord. They had gotten her from a friend and had her for three weeks before bringing her to us. Maja has been through a lot of change in the past month but she has handled it well like the sweetheart she is. Her previous owners describe her as friendly and sweet and said she likes to go on her walks and is good with kids. She was potty trained except when she was left alone in the house, so it might be best if she is kenneled when you are gone as she is less likely to potty in a confined space. Maja is a fantastic walker on her leash and knows the command "sit". She seems to be an overall well-mannered, treat-motivated girl.

Your adoption fee helps support YHS and our spay/neuter efforts in the community to end overpopulation of cats and dogs.

NOTE: All pre-adoption questionnaires are subject to approval. Adopters must be 18 years of age. Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 48-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit. All dogs must leave with a collar and leash. All cats must leave in a pet carrier for their safety. Renters are required to have proof of landlord approval.
