Meet Monica, a nine month old Shepherd mix weighing around 50 pounds.

Monica's journey started off a little scary - she was found dodging traffic, unsure and overwhelmed. But since coming to us, she's blossomed into a loving, energetic girl who's ready for her fresh start!

She's eager to please, sticks close to her people, and already knows commands like "sit" and "down." When left to her own devices in the house she can sometimes chew on stuff she may not be supposed to, but that is very common with her age and intelligence. Crate training will definitely prevent her from getting into stuff she isn't supposed to when you aren't there and she is very smart so she should pick up what is and isn't appropriate to do in a home quickly. Monica is the kind of dog who just wants to be guided with kindness and shown what it means to be part of a family. She's also great with other dogs and would love a playmate to romp around with.

NOTE: All pre-adoption questionnaires are subject to approval. Adopters must be 18 years of age. Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 48-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit. All dogs must leave with a collar and leash. All cats must leave in a pet carrier for their safety. Renters are required to have proof of landlord approval.
