Meet Mufasa, a seven month old Chihuahua/Chow mix weighing 19 pounds.

Mufasa might sound like a lion king, but he's really a soft-hearted, fluffy sweetheart just looking for a safe place to land. With his adorable underbite and sweet, expressive eyes, he's impossible not to love. He's friendly and kind, but still gaining confidence in this big, new world. He'll need a bit of reassurance as he continues to learn and grow-especially when it comes to leash walking, which is still a work in progress. He also tends to look bigger in photos than he really is, but in person, he's just the right size for cuddles and companionship.

Mufasa came in with his brother, Taka (also available for adoption!), and while they don't need to be adopted together, they share that same gentle nature. If you're looking for a sweet, slightly shy companion with a face you'll fall in love with instantly, Mufasa is ready to be your loyal friend.

NOTE: All pre-adoption questionnaires are subject to approval. Adopters must be 18 years of age. Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 48-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit. All dogs must leave with a collar and leash. All cats must leave in a pet carrier for their safety. Renters are required to have proof of landlord approval.
