Meet Taka, a seven month old Chihuahua/Terrier mix weighing around 15 pounds.

Taka is a gentle, submissive boy with a heart full of love-he's just waiting for someone patient and kind to help him fully come out of his shell. A little nervous at first, Taka wants so badly to please and be close to his people once he feels safe. He absolutely melts for belly rubs and sweet talk, and with a little TLC, this quiet soul will make a devoted and affectionate companion. He's the kind of dog who just wants to be your shadow, soaking up kindness and giving back loyalty in return.

Taka came in with his brother Mufasa (also available for adoption), and while they don't need to go home together, they share the same gentle nature and hopeful spirit. If you're ready to show a truly deserving dog what love feels like, Taka is ready to meet you-with a shy smile and a heart full of hope.

NOTE: All pre-adoption questionnaires are subject to approval. Adopters must be 18 years of age. Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 48-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit. All dogs must leave with a collar and leash. All cats must leave in a pet carrier for their safety. Renters are required to have proof of landlord approval.
