Meet Melly, a one year old German Shepherd/Newfoundland mix weighing around 85 pounds.

Melly is a sweet, silly, dorky girl who is looking for a new family through no fault of her own. She was owner surrendered due to landlord issues, and her previous owner described her as being good with people, kids, and other dogs.

Melly is the definition of a Velcro dog. She loves being close to her people and will happily keep you company wherever you go. She is affectionate, playful, friendly, and active, but she can also be a little insecure and looks to her people for guidance. A patient family who can give her reassurance and help her feel confident will be a wonderful match for her.

Melly is crate trained and is used to sleeping in her crate at night, giving her new family a great head start. She is ready to find someone who will love her, guide her, and let her be the goofy, affectionate girl she is.

Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 48-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit.
