Meet Sweetie, a one and a half year old Lab/Husky mix weighing 52 pounds.

Sweetie spent nearly a year on the run before Animal Control was finally able to bring her to safety-and now she's learning what it means to be loved. True to her name, Sweetie is incredibly kind and friendly, but the world is still a very big, new, and sometimes scary place for her. She's not used to the leash just yet, and she tends to creep up to people on her belly, slowly but surely showing her trust.

What Sweetie needs most is a patient, loving person who will help her build confidence through gentle guidance and socialization. Every small step she takes is a big win, and being part of her journey will be one of the most rewarding things you'll ever experience. If you have a quiet home and a heart big enough for a girl who's learning how to trust, Sweetie is ready to blossom by your side.

NOTE: All pre-adoption questionnaires are subject to approval. Adopters must be 18 years of age. Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 48-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit. All dogs must leave with a collar and leash. All cats must leave in a pet carrier for their safety. Renters are required to have proof of landlord approval.
