Meet Athena, a two year old German Shepherd/Husky mix weighing 42 pounds.

Athena was found wandering a dirt road with her companion Persephone, and while the two get along wonderfully, they're each ready to find loving homes of their own.

Athena is a gentle, affectionate soul who absolutely loves attention-she'll happily soak up all the pets you're willing to give. Though she may be a bit reserved at first, she warms up quickly and soon reveals her friendly, easygoing personality.

She's also great on a leash, enjoys calm walks, and gets along well with other dogs, according to her finder. Her mellow nature makes her an ideal companion for someone looking for a relaxed and loving dog who still has plenty of heart to give. NOTE: All pre-adoption questionnaires are subject to approval. Adopters must be 18 years of age. Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 48-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit.
