Meet Chicken, a two year old Pit/Staffie mix weighing 53 pounds.

Don't let the name fool you - Chicken is one brave and lovable pup! This sweet boy came to us with some pretty painful ear infections, but with treatment and TLC, he's feeling so much better and ready to start his next chapter. Chicken is friendly, affectionate, and soaks up love like a sponge - it's clear he's been missing that special connection with people for a long time. His big, expressive googly eyes are always on the lookout for a kind face (and maybe a treat or two - he's very food motivated!).

He's working on his leash skills and making great progress with just a few gentle reminders. Chicken is eager to please and thrives on attention, so he'll do best in a home where he can be included, loved, and reminded that he's finally safe. If you're looking for a sweet, goofy, love-hungry pup with a face you won't forget - Chicken might just be your guy.

NOTE: All pre-adoption questionnaires are subject to approval. Adopters must be 18 years of age. Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 48-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit. All dogs must leave with a collar and leash. All cats must leave in a pet carrier for their safety. Renters are required to have proof of landlord approval.
