Meet Yogi, a three year old Siberian Husky/German Shepherd mix weighing 60 pounds.

Yogi has been through more than his fair share. He was found with porcupine quills embedded in his face and brought to a vet clinic by his finders - who requested he be put down. But the clinic staff saw something special in him. They treated his injuries and gave him a second chance by bringing him to us. Yogi's coat is rough, likely due to a poor diet and hard living conditions, and it's clear he hasn't known consistent care or comfort. He's a bit hesitant and standoffish in new situations, but beneath that guarded exterior is a curious and observant dog who wants to trust - he just needs time.

His eyes, a striking and unusual color, tell you everything: there's a deep soul in there, quietly watching, waiting for someone patient and kind to help him come out of his shell. Yogi isn't the kind of dog who will instantly leap into your arms - but if you're someone who finds joy in building trust, creating calm, and watching a scared dog learn what love feels like, Yogi could be your most rewarding companion yet.
