Meet Kurt, a five-year-old Husky/Malamute mix weighing 72 pounds.

When Kurt first came to us, he seemed unsure of the world-like he may have had a rough start out on the streets. Everything was new, and he wasn't quite sure who to trust. But with time, patience, and kindness, Kurt has truly blossomed into a completely different boy.

Now, his goofy, lovable personality shines bright! He absolutely loves going on walks. He might start out with some excited wiggles (he's a big boy with big enthusiasm!), but once he gets that energy out, he settles in and walks pretty well on leash.

Kurt is as handsome as they come, with a majestic white fluffy coat that makes him look like a gentle giant. He can be a bit mouthy when he's excited, but he responds well to guidance and is very treat-motivated. In fact, he's happy to show off his "sit" when snacks are involved! Kurt has met other dogs and while he likes to be the one in charge, he will play and just hang out with them.

Kurt is looking for a home that will continue to guide him, give him structure, and most of all, love him. In return, you'll get a loyal, silly, larger-than-life best friend who's ready to leave his past behind and start his best chapter yet.
