Meet Bug, a a three year old Pit/Chihuahua mix weighing 37 pounds.

Bug is a resilient little soul who's been through more than her fair share. For over three weeks, she was seen running scared and alone, clearly confused and trying to survive. Like many dogs who've been abandoned, she didn't trust easily - and had to be humanely trapped to get her to safety.

Now, Bug is safe, but she's still learning that the world doesn't have to be a scary place. She's a fantastic medium size and absolutely worth the wait for someone willing to go slow and offer her the TLC she truly deserves.

Bug is still unsure about leashes, and would do best in a calm, patient home where she can decompress and build trust at her own pace. She's clever and agile - she can jump fences, so a secure setup is a must.

Due to her shy nature and the startle factor, no young children for now - but this could change as she gains confidence. Bug isn't just a project - she's a promise. With the right person, she'll be an incredible companion. If you've got a gentle heart and the patience to help a scared dog blossom, Bug just might be your girl.
