Meet Elvira, a one-and-a-half-year-old Pit mix weighing 57 pounds.

Elvira is the kind of dog who makes you smile the moment you meet her. With her beautiful dark grey coat, expressive ears, and always-wagging tail, she radiates joy and affection. Elvira came to us after being hit by a car, but this tough girl bounced back fast! Thankfully, X-rays showed no broken bones, and she's been making a speedy recovery ever since. Her spirit is as strong as her heart is big.

She's friendly with everyone she meets - humans and dogs alike - and has already made a great impression on a doggy friend during her time here. Elvira lives for treats, loves attention, and will gladly be your shadow if it means more cuddles (and maybe a snack or two). If you're looking for a loving, happy-go-lucky companion who's overcome the odds and still greets life with a tail wag, Elvira is ready to meet you.

Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 48-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit.
