Meet Chili, a two-year-old Mini Poodle/Maltese mix weighing 9 pounds.

Chili may be a little shy at first, but underneath that cautious exterior is a sweet pup just waiting to feel safe and loved. Found as a stray, he came to us scared and unsure of his new surroundings. But with patience and gentle care, he's slowly beginning to warm up to our staff, showing glimpses of the loving dog he wants to be.

Chili will need a calm, understanding home where he can go at his own pace. He's not ready for young kids just yet, but that could change once he's settled into a secure home environment and gets the confidence boost he needs through socialization and routine.

He'll also require regular grooming to keep his coat healthy and free of matting - a little spa day now and then helps him look and feel his best!

If you're the kind of person who finds joy in earning a shy dog's trust and watching them blossom, Chili could be the perfect match. He just needs time, TLC, and a soft place to land.

Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 48-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit.
