Meet Leah, a five-and-a-half-year-old Pit/Doberman mix weighing 43 pounds.

Leah's journey hasn't been easy. She was found near Rimrock Lake, and the kind people who picked her up suspect she was dumped. She had a microchip, but despite our best efforts, we've been unable to reach her registered owner. Listed as a Terrier mix, we think Leah's DNA has a little more to say-possibly some Doberman, Pit Bull, and maybe even a sprinkle of Boxer. What we do know for sure is that she's a beautiful, soulful pup with a heart that's ready to heal.

Understandably, Leah is a little unsure with all the sudden changes in her life, but when approached gently, she blossoms into the sweetheart she truly is. She's been good with small dogs and seems well-mannered overall. Once she trusts you, she becomes a total Velcro dog-wanting to be close, soaking up love, and giving it right back. Leah is looking for a home where she'll be treated with patience, kindness, and stability. In return, she'll give you her whole heart.
