Meet Gary, a one-year-old Retriever/Pit mix weighing 45 pounds.

Gary is an athletic, enthusiastic dog who's still figuring out the world around him. He doesn't seem to have had much socialization, so new situations can sometimes be confusing or overstimulating for him. With that said, Gary truly wants to do well and thrives when someone takes the time to guide him.

He soaks up attention and enjoys working with his person, responding well to redirection and structure. Gary is the kind of dog who will bond closely with his handler and flourish with consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement.

Gary is looking for a dedicated adopter who enjoys training and building a strong relationship. With the right guidance, he has the potential to become an amazing, loyal companion.

Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 48-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit.
