Meet Iris, a ten-month-old Lab/Dane mix weighing over 60 pounds.

Iris is a big, happy goofball with a sweet personality and an adorable smile that's sure to make you laugh. She's friendly and enjoys being around people, but she's still learning about some of the basics - especially walking on a leash.

Leashes seem to be very new and a little scary for Iris right now, so she will need a patient adopter willing to help her build confidence and learn at her own pace. A harness may help her feel more secure as she adjusts and discovers that walks can be fun.

Despite her uncertainty with the leash, Iris has a joyful spirit and a loving nature that shine through. With some guidance, encouragement, and consistency, this goofy girl is sure to blossom into a wonderful companion.

NOTE: All pre-adoption questionnaires are subject to approval. Adopters must be 18 years of age. Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 48-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit. All dogs must leave with a collar and leash. All cats must leave in a pet carrier for their safety. Renters may be required to have proof of landlord approval.
