Meet Lucy, a one year old Lab/Cattle Dog mix weighing 70 pounds.

Lucy has already overcome more than any dog should have to. She was rescued after concerns were raised for her safety and was brought to Yakima Humane Society to get the fresh start she deserved. Despite her difficult past, Lucy has remained incredibly sweet, loving, and trusting.

This gentle girl forms strong bonds with her people and loves to check in with her person while out and about. She has a soft, affectionate nature and genuinely wants to make her people happy. Lucy is eager to please and enjoys being close to those she loves.

Lucy is proof that resilience comes in four-legged form. She is ready to leave her past behind and find a family that will give her the love, security, and kindness she has always deserved.

NOTE: All pre-adoption questionnaires are subject to approval. Adopters must be 18 years of age. Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 48-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit. All dogs must leave with a collar and leash. All cats must leave in a pet carrier for their safety. Renters may be required to have proof of landlord approval.
