Meet Dusty, a nine week old German Shepherd mix weighing 8 pounds.

Dusty is a sweet, playful puppy with a resilient spirit and a bright future ahead of him. He and his brother, Dex, were born to a stray mama and spent their early weeks fending for themselves. When they were found, the boys were so hungry that they had been seen eating a dead chicken in an effort to survive. Thankfully, animal control brought them to safety, and Dusty has been thriving ever since.

Despite his rough start, Dusty is a friendly, affectionate puppy who loves people, playtime, and exploring the world around him. He has all the curiosity, energy, and enthusiasm you'd expect from a young pup, and he's ready to find a family to call his own.

As with any puppy, Dusty will need continued training, patience, and guidance as he grows. Positive reinforcement training and consistent socialization are especially important to help him develop into a confident, well-mannered adult dog. Exposure to new people, places, sounds, and experiences will help him build the skills he needs to be a successful companion.

Dusty has already shown that he's adaptable, loving, and eager to connect with people. Now he just needs a family willing to invest the time and love every puppy deserves. In return, you'll gain a loyal best friend who has overcome a difficult beginning and is ready for a lifetime of adventures.

Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 48-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit. All dogs must leave with a collar and leash. All cats must leave in a pet carrier for their safety. Renters may be required to have proof of landlord approval.
