Meet Koko, a one and a half year old Belgian Malinois mix weighing 53 pounds.

Koko is an incredible Belgian Malinois with the athleticism, intelligence, and drive that make this breed so remarkable. If you're looking for a dog to keep up with an active lifestyle, Koko is ready for the challenge!

This energetic girl is extremely athletic and can easily jump or climb tall fences, so she'll need a very secure home and should never be left unattended in a yard. Koko is highly treat motivated, already knows the commands "sit" and "down," and loves having a job to do. Whether it's advanced obedience, agility, scent work, hiking, or another canine sport, she's happiest when both her mind and body are engaged.

Koko is not the right match for someone looking for a laid-back companion. Belgian Malinois are an intelligent, high-energy working breed that thrive when given structure, consistent training, daily exercise, and a purpose. Without enough physical activity and mental enrichment, they can become bored and develop unwanted behaviors. They are best suited for experienced or dedicated owners who understand the commitment that comes with owning a working dog.

Entire families may be required to visit, including resident dog(s). 48-hour adoption holds may be placed on any animal (for approved adopters) with a non-refundable deposit.
